(Orangeburg, S.C.) – The Delaware State women's soccer team (3-11-1) came up short on the road Friday night against the South Carolina State Bulldogs (2-13-1), 2-1, behind first half goals by Dominique Brown during the 29th minute and Naydeen Cabalo capitalizing on a penalty kick situation shortly before halftime.
For DSU, forward Chelsea Boursiquot found midfielder Dina Isham during the 77th minute, but it was not enough as the Bulldogs held on to snap a 12-game losing streak.
Coming up, the Columbia Blue & Red will wrap up the weekend tomorrow afternoon at Francis Marion (1 p.m.), in what will be DSU's final road match of the 2014 season.
