HORNETS FALL TO MORGAN STATE 66-47

Baltimore, Md. (Mar. 4, 2013) --- Justin Black led three Morgan State players in double figures with a game-high 20 points in the Bears' 66-47 win over Delaware State in a men's basketball contest at Hill Field House this evening.

The win moved Morgan State (13-14; 9-6 MEAC) past the Hornets (13-16; 8-7) for fifth place in the MEAC standings.

Marques Oliver was the only Delaware State player in double figures with 13 points. Oliver also led all players with nine rebounds.

The score was 13-13 before Morgan State pulled away. The Bears scored the next 12 points, and opened up a 25-13 lead on a lay up by DeWayne Jackson with 7:43 left in the first half.

The Bears led 35-21 at the half.

Morgan State opened up its biggest lead, 60-36, on a three-pointer by Black with 6:39 left to play

Delaware State outrebounded the Bears 43-28, but was plagued by 17 turnovers in the contest.

The Hornets will wrap up the 2012-13 regular season at South Carolina State on Thursday. Game time is 7:30 p.m. in Orangeburg, S.C.
