BALTIMORE, Md. - The woes continued Friday evening for the Delaware State University volleyball team as they were swept, 3-0 (12-25, 20-25, 20-25), by Coppin State at the Physical Education Complex.

With the loss, the Hornets fall to 5-18 overall and 2-7 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play.  The Eagles improved to 10-11 overall and 5-4 in the MEAC with their win.

Freshman Alena Jung (Kunsterdingen, Germany) led Del State with six kills on a .050 hitting percentage.  The outside hitter also added six digs, an assist and an ace.

Senior Bel Fakaosi (Salt Lake City, Utah) collected 18 assists for the Hornets in addition to eight digs.

Junior Jessica Croucher (Brisbane, Australia) led DSU with nine digs with three kills, one assist and two block assists.

As a team, the Hornets posted a hitting percentage of .066 (22 kills/16 errors/91 attempts).

CSU sophomore Ariel Richard tied a season-high 22 kills for the Eagles with a .594 hitting percentage.

DSU continues their Baltimore swing with a 3 p.m. match Sunday at Morgan State.
