DOVER, Del. (September 12, 2008) ? George Washington recorded 40 shots (24 shots on goal) in route to a 4-0 win against DSU. With the loss, the Hornets fall to 0-5 on the season.
After the first 45 minutes, the score was deadlocked at zero as DSU GK Courtney Haas stopped the mass quantity of shots that came her way. She finished with a career-high 20 saves.
The DSU defense could only hold the GW defense so long, as they added four goals on 24 shots in the second half.
The Hornets will look to win their first game of the season as they face Concordia-NY, this Sunday, at Alumni Stadium. Last season, the Hornets beat the Clippers, 8-1. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
