DSU VOLLEYBALL DROPS HARVARD TOURNAMENT OPENER

Laura Mahon had a game-high 13 kills, while Kathryn McKinley recorded 12 kills and 11 digs to lead Harvard to a 3-0 win over Delaware State at Lavietes Pavilion in Cambridge, MA Friday evening. The scores were 30-14, 30-22 and 30-19. The contest was the season opener for Harvard, while the Hornets fell to 0-9. Ayana Dyette and Erica Tajchman led Delaware State with eight kills each, while Kinga Muszynski had a team-high eight digs. Harvard posted a .306 kill percentage (46 kills/16 errors/98 attempts), while the Hornets had a .010 mark (27/26/102). Delaware State will take on Michigan State (1:00 p.m.) and Boston College (4:00 p.m.) on Saturday.
