Tempe, AZ ? The weather back at home was cold and snowing, and the Hornets were in Arizona, but their shooting touch was left in the Dover, DE cold, losing 77-38 to Arizona State.
The Hornets shot 19.2% (5-26) in the first half and only managed 22.2% (6-27) in the second half and finished with a season low 20.8% shooting from the field for the game. On the other hand, the Sun Devils were red hot, shooting 55.2% (16-29) in the first half and a scorching 82.4% (14-17) in the second half. They finished with an impressive 65.2% from the floor for the game.
The Hornets were led by Donald Johnson and Joe Dickens, who finished with nine and seven points respectively. Kyle White finished with six, while Marcus Neal and Terrence Parkes added five each.
The Sun Devils had two in double figures led by James Harden who finished with a game high 24 points and eight rebounds. Eric Boateng added 10 points.
DSU will return to action when they make their second trip to PAC-10 country on December 17.
