Matthew Fortune has spent the last 10 years at Delaware State University in Student Affairs after originally arriving as an assistant wrestling coach. Over the past nine years, Mr. Fortune, known to many as “Matt,” has held positions supporting collegiate student development as it pertains to athletics, programming, and the construction of Delaware State University’s Wellness Recreation Center and the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Center and University Housing.
Fortune also serves on a number of university committees, including the Student Affairs Strategic Planning committee, the DSU Safety committee, and Enrollment Management committee. In 2010, he was the recipient of two NIRSA awards, including the Foundation Award and the Outstanding Sports Facilities Award of the Year.
