With over 20 years of experience, Ed Page is no stranger to the sports performance industry. He embarks upon his journey at Delaware State with an infectious passion for helping athletes be the best they can be both on the field and in life. Prior to the Hornets, Page served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at his alma mater, Bowie State University. He became the first full-time strength coach in the university's history in 2001. During his tenure at BSU, Page was responsible for the physical development of all the university's intercollegiate sports. His efforts were fruitful, as he helped to establish the championship culture that is now synonymous with the Bulldogs' athletic department.
Following a winding career path, he left BSU in 2007 to enter the private sector. He worked with a host of notable NFL players and top athletes from the college ranks. Page then reinvigorated his passion for working with team sports at UCLA in 2018, where he became a Coach's Assistant for Football Performance. After his time with the Bruins in Westwood, he joined the New York Giants in 2019 as a seasonal strength and conditioning coach. In 2022, Page's career came full-circle when he returned to Bowie State to revive the sports performance department that he founded. Now armed with a plethora of high-level experience, his goal is to foster a championship mindset at DSU.
A seasoned professional, Page earned his Master of Science degree in Human Performance and Strength and Conditioning from Liberty University. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach with Distinction through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Additionally, his credentials include certifications in specialties such as speed, agility, and recovery. Page's training philosophy is to mitigate injuries and establish a solid foundation of movement literacy before implementing methods that develop strength, power, and speed.
Through the course of his career, Page has been blessed with opportunities to coach over 100 All-Conference athletes, 30 All-Americans, and the NFL's 2020 Defense Rookie of the Year. Although developing an athlete's physical gifts are his job's priorities, he firmly believes that his calling is to play a role in the spiritual growth and development of every person under his tutelage.
A native of Philadelphia, Page and his wife, Keli, have one son, Israel, and one daughter, Morgan.
