Collin Sherwin

Collin Sherwin is in his first year as a Media Relations Assistant with the Hornets.  He serves as the primary contact for volleyball, soccer, and softball.

Prior to joining DSU, Sherwin spent five years as a member of both the development and sports information staff at his alma mater, the University of South Florida.  He was responsible for communications from the USF Bulls Club to over 3,000 members, as well as other fans and friends of the athletics family.  He created a quarterly newsletter as well as designed an interactive web site designed to reach current donors as well as convey gift information to potential new members.  Collin also built marketing materials ranging from tri-fold brochures to multi-platform portfolios catered to assist development officers in their fundraising efforts.  Some of his additional projects included creating much of the mission, vision, and values language used by the athletic department, as well as writing a major portion of the proposal submitted to the Big East university presidents for USF's entrance into one of America's premiere collegiate conferences.

An active and involved student while at USF, Collin helped to found and develop the Student Bulls Club, a group designed to involve students as athletic donors while still in school.  The group continues their work today with over 300 members making voluntary annual gifts to athletics while still students.  He also assisted in the creation of the USF Hall of Fame, researching and recovering much of the "lost history" of USF Athletics. Sherwin transferred over to sports information just before leaving USF during the 2007 season to become the primary contact for USF Volleyball.  He continues to aid USF Volleyball in a fundraising capacity, having served on their annual golf tournament committee for eight years running.

Sherwin graduated with a B.A. in political science in 2004.  He currently resides in Dover.
