Ashley Braam

Ashley Braam is in her third year at Delaware State University as the Associate Strength and Conditioning Coach structuring programs for men’s and women’s basketball, baseball and softball.

While at Delaware State, Braam has administered and developed programs for women’s lacrosse, women’s soccer, cross country, men’s/women’s track & field, women's tennis and women’s golf. 

She has helped the women’s 4x400-relay team clinch second place in the MEAC Outdoor Championships, in addition to five members receiving All-Conference recognition. Braam has also assisted women’s soccer in winning the The Independence Conference title.  Softball wise, she's trained a combined 10 softball players earn First and Second Team All-MEAC selections, in addition to two MEAC Rookie of the Year Award winners.   

Prior to DSU, Braam worked as an intern at Davidson University with the Strength and Conditioning department, where she assisted with baseball, volleyball, women's basketball, men's/women's swimming, men's/women's tennis and men's/women's soccer. Prior to Davidson, Braam worked at the University of South Florida as an intern in its Strength and Conditioning department, where she assisted with football, men's/women's soccer, men's/women's track & field.

Braam received her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Liberty University, where she played soccer, as well as assist with the Strength and Conditioning department in football, baseball, women's basketball, women’s tennis and men's golf.  She also obtained her Master’s degree in Sports Administration while working at DSU. 

Braam has received her CSCS (certified strength and conditioning specialist) through the NSCA, which is a nationally recognized certification by the NCAA.
