DSU Equestrian Head Coach Jennifer Ridgely announced the appointment of Raplogle of Clear Spring, Md., to her staff as an assistant, working primarily with the Western riders in Dec. 2019.

Since 1986, Raplogle has served as owner/head trainer of Rhonda Raplogle Show Horses. As proprietor, she was responsible for the care, custody and control of training horses, in addition to coaching and mentoring clients on equine purchases.

Her company trained and prepared clients’ horses for show performances and competitions, while also providing individual and group lessons.

Raplogle is internationally recognized as a top horse show and competition judge.

She is a four-time All-American Quarter Horse Congress judge (2008, ’11, ’14, and ’18) and a three-time panelist at the American Paint Horse World Show (2012, ’15, and ’19).

In addition, Raplogle has served as a judge for the International Buckskin World Show, American Quarter Horse World Show, American Quarter Horse Association Level 1 Championship, along with European, Swedish and Australian national championships.

She also brings extensive experience as a judge for National Collegiate Equestrian Association championship events to Delaware State.

Raplogle’s professional achievements also include coaching 10 American Quarter Horse Association Justin rookies-of-the-year, an Olympic Young Rider in reining, 20 American Quarter Horse Association High Point winners, in addition to directing student-athletes to wins at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress and Youth World shows.

She is a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association and Professional Horseman’s Association, and presently serves as a member of the American Paint Horse Association, International Buckskin Association and National Reining Horse Association, among others.
