Kane joined the Hornet’s coaching staff in February 2019. In her first full season coaching, the Hornet's Jumping Seat team went undefeated in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (7-0) with two All-ECAC Team Riders in Fences (Z. Kirsch) and Flat (E. Gordon) and ended 7-4 overall for the NCEA. The Jumping Seat unit won 6 Most Outstanding Performer honors in regular season competition along with 5 ECAC Rider of the Week winners, 1 ECAC Rider of the Month; and 1 NCEA Flat Rider of the Month award. The Hornet's grabbed their highest-ever individual event rankings in 2019-2020; 4th in Equitation on the Flat and 7th Over Fences overall for the NCEA. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the DSU Equestrian Team did not see competition in Fall of 2020 but holds a strong schedule going into 2021.

She is a native of Dover, Delaware who successfully competed for Delaware State University from 2008-2012 and was the Jumping Seat Captain during her Junior and Senior seasons. Kane was an Academic All-American for the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) and was an inductee to the Chi Alpha Sigma-National Scholar-Athlete Honor Society. Kane holds DSU all-time records for highest scores in Equitation on the Flat and was the team's Equitation on the Flat MVP in 2010 & 2012.

Kane began riding at age four and competed extensively before becoming a Hornet in 2008.  She most recently has worked as the Assistant Coach of the Foxden Farm Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Team as well as full-time for Delaware State Parks as their Enterprise Development Coordinator where she oversaw business recruitment, created, and managed public-private partnerships and managed corporate-level sponsorship. She was a 2019 “She’s on Her Way” award recipient which recognizes the achievements and celebrates the contributions of women leaders under 30 making a difference in the State of Delaware.

Caroline and her husband, Kevin were married in June of 2018 and reside in Camden, Delaware.
