CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. --Sophomore Rhyannon Stanley (0-1) got the ball to start for Delaware State (0-1) and took the loss. Sophomore Kaylanie Rodriguez was a bright spot for the Hornets, starting the ballgame and throwing one shutout inning, allowing one hit, with no walks and one strikeout.
Offensively, the Hornets were led by senior Mianna Lopez Del Haro, who went 1-for-2 on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Delaware State did not advance a runner past second base in the game. The Hornets went 0-for-2 with runners in scoring position, last placing a runner as far as second in the first, when sophomore Destiny Mitchell made it into scoring position with one out.
