MARTIN, Tenn. - Delaware State equestrian assistant coach Kristy Conti was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Assistant Coach of the Year.
Conti, in her first season with the Hornets, serves as the assistant Western coach.
"[Kristy] jumped right in with both feet to a very new format of competition, bonded with the girls immediately, and has obviously excelled in coaching, which is seen by the other schools around us," head coach Jennifer Ridgely said.
The Hornets are 3-8 on the season (3-3 NCEA). The three victories were against Minnesota Crookston (9/27 and 1/25) and South Dakota State (11/16). Delaware State competed in the ECAC Championship on March 28, but they fell to UC-Davis.
Conti is a 2010 graduate of North Hampton Community College.
