Equestrian to Meet UC-Davis Aggies in ECAC Championship

DSU vs. UC-Davis is the 2/3 Seed Matchup

DOVER, Del. - Delaware State equestrian will face the University of California-Davis Aggies in the upcoming Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship, as announced by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA).

The meet is scheduled for Friday, March 28 at 11 a.m. (10 a.m. CT). The University of Tennessee at Martin will be this year's host for the three-day event from Thursday, March 27 to Saturday, March 29. The Skyhawks are hosting for the fourth time in school history.

Delaware State enters the ECAC Championship at 3-7 (3-3 NCEA). UC-Davis comes in at 4-9, with all of their meets being against NCEA opponents. Both sides are looking to snap their two-game skids.

The Hornets and Aggies previously met on Friday, January 24, where UC-Davis won at home 15-5. Aniela Cortina earned MOP in that meet with a 73 in Horsemanship.

The five tournament seeds, from first to fifth, are Tennessee Martin, UC-Davis, Delaware State, South Dakota State, and Minnesota Crookston.

The ECAC Championship will kick off with a meet between South Dakota State and Minnesota Crookston on Thursday, March 27 at 12 p.m. CT. The winner will advance to face Tennessee Martin on Friday, March 28 at 10 a.m. CT.

The victor of the two semifinals matchups will go head-to-head on Saturday, March 29 at 10 a.m. CT for the championship.
