MARTIN, Tenn. - Delaware State equestrian fell to the University of Tennessee at Martin Skyhawks on Friday 13-6. It's one of two meets this weekend in Martin.
For Jumping Seat, the Skyhawks narrowly survived the Hornets 3-2 in Fences.
Olivia Brown and
Lily Kosal each took a point in that category. While Brown utilized "Zazu," Kosal rode "Dubs." Meanwhile, in Flat, the lone Delaware State point came from Kosal. Aboard "Pickles," she had a 69-61 victory over her opponent. Overall, Tennessee Martin won Jumping Seat 7-3.
On the Western side, the Hornets and Skyhawks tied 2-2 in Horsemanship.
Ashley Grasso won a point while riding "Jim."
Aniela Cortina would snag a point by just 2.5 points aboard "DeNiro." However, the Skyhawks were victorious in Reining.
Bailey Henderson came away with a 0.5-point win on "Sarge." It was a 6-3 decision in favor of the home team in Western.
Tennessee Martin won the meet 13-6. For total points, the final was 1516.5 to 1436.5.
