FRESNO, Calif. - Delaware State equestrian put up a tough fight in their first spring meet of the season on Thursday, but they fell to the Fresno State Bulldogs 16-4.
Fresno State took both the Jumping Seat and Western competitions 8-2.

In Jumping Seat, Olivia Brown earned the Hornets' lone point in Fences. Aboard "Muffin," she grabbed the point in a narrow one-point victory. Victoria Croston had a point in Flat with "Finn." She defeated her opponent by 12 points.
On the Western side, Ashley Grasso won a point while riding "Charlie." Anna Payne would earn Most Outstanding Performer in Reigning aboard "Dyson." She won by a half point, 71.5 to 71.
Delaware State put up 730 points to Fresno State's 765 in Jumping Seat. For the Western rides, the Hornets posted 625 points to the Bulldogs' 640. In total, it was 1405 to 1355.
