FELTON, Del. - Delaware State equestrian began the weekend with a tough loss to the University of Tennessee at Martin Skyhawks 11-9.
In Jumping Seat, the Hornets took the Fences competition 3-2.
Victoria Croston,
Lily Kosal, and
Olivia Brown earned a point for Delaware State. With an 89 aboard "Polo," Brown was the Most Outstanding Performer. Brown took the lone Hornets point in Flat while riding "Denali." Her score of 82 landed her another MOP. Overall, the Skyhawks won Jumping Seat 6-4.
The Western rides were tightly contested for both sides. Delaware State won Horsemanship 3-2, while Tennessee Martin won 3-2 in Reigning.
Claire Andrews,
Hallie Prater, and
Ashley Grasso earned a point in Horsemanship.
Estella Estus and
Cambrey Hedges claimed the Hornets points in Reigning.
Tennessee Martin won the meet 11-9.

The Hornets are back in action tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 16 at 9 a.m. They will host the South Dakota State University Jackrabbits.
