Dover, Del. (July 16, 2022) --- Delaware State alum and former track & field standout Alan Laws (Mays Landing, N.J.), a New Jersey State Trooper, has earned the title of "Fastest Law Enforcement Officer in the U.S."
Laws ('11) recently captured four gold medals at the United States Police and Fire Championships in San Diego, topping the field in the 400-meter dash and 400-meter hurdles, in addition to helping lead his 4x400 and 4x100 relay teams to first place finishes at the event.
The 32-year old Laws joined the New Jersey State Police in 2017. He was a member of the Delaware State cross country and track & field teams from 2007 to '11.
He was the Hornets' 2010-11 men's cross country Academic MVP, and a key member of the 4x4 and 4x1 relay teams.
