Dover, Del. (May 1, 2022)--- Howard completed a three-game series sweep of Delaware State with an 8-5 victory today. The game marked the season finale for the Hornets.
The Bison broke a 3-3 tie with four runs in the top of the fourth inning to regain the lead for good.
Howard led 3-0 before Delaware State put two runs on the board in the bottom of the second and one in the third to tie the score.
Jade King singled in a run in the Hornet second and Sandrea Hord scored on a Howard error in the third to tie the game.
Delaware State's Kyla Johnson drove in a run on a sac fly in the fifth to cut the Bison lead to 7-4.
Hornet senior Jaelyn Baker smacked a solo home run in bottom of the seventh (4) in the final at bat of her college career.
