Olivia Brown earned both Most Outstanding Performer Awards to lead Delaware State equestrian's jumping seat team to a 5-3 victory over Lynchburg in Blythewood, S.C., over the weekend.
Brown (Fr.; Berlin, Md.) led all competitors with a score of 78 aboard "Joe" to earn a point for the Hornets in the Fences competition.
Maranda McCarthy (so; Worcester, Mass.) also collected a Fences point for Delaware State with a score of 69.
Brown posted her second MOP award with a stellar performance on the Flat, topping all riders with a score of 77 on "Dento."
McCarthy (76.5) and
Jordan Wicklund (74.5) also turned in winning rides on the Flat for the Hornets in the victory over Lynchburg.
Earlier in the weekend, Delaware State fell to South Carolina 12-4.
The Gamecocks were 7-2 winners in the Jumping Seat competition and posted a 5-2 victory in the Western rides.
McCarthy and
Gabrielle Fournier posted Fences wins, while
Aniela Cortina (Horsemanship) and Abbey Craver (Reining) also earned points for the Hornets in the South Carolina contest. Â
