GREENSBORO, N.C. --- The Delaware State University bowling team competed in the Stallings Invitational hosted by North Carolina A&T over the weekend.

The Hornets tallied a 6-3 record for the weekend and earned a sixth-place finish overall.

Delaware State was led by four top-20 finishes from
Saralyne Nassberg,
Alyssa Breidegam,
Emily Breidegam and
Kelsey Cummings.

Nassberg ranked 14th after knocking down 1,003 pins for a 200.60 average on the weekend. Her highest game came in game four when she bowled a 233.

Alyssa Breidegam finished right behind Nassberg in the 15th slot individually. She recorded a 1,002 total pinfall averaging 200.40 with her highest coming in the first game as she bowled a 236.

Emily Breidegam took home an 18th place finish with a 976 total pinfall and 195.20 average with her highest game coming in the fourth game after bowling a 211. Cummings was just after
Emily Breidegam in the standings as she ranked 19th overall. Cummings knocked down 973 pins averaging 194.60 per game for the weekend. She bowled three 200+ games with her personal best coming in game four where she bowled a 211.

Delaware State will now turn its attention to the USBC Sectionals. The Hornets will return to the Dayton, Ohio sectional in mid-March. Â
