Delaware State aims to add another top-five finish at Track Kat Klash

DOVER, Del. --- The Delaware State women's bowling team will travel to Houston, Texas this weekend to compete in the Track Kat Klash hosted by Sam Houston State University.
 
As a team, the Hornets placed seventh in this same tournament just one year ago and will look to capilize on the momentum of the two top-five finishes heading into this weekend.
 
When asked about what Delaware State wants to accomplish in this tournament, junior Saralyne Nassberg stated "The team goal this weekend is another top-five finish and with the amount of nationally ranked teams expected to be at this tournament, this is our chance to make the name for the program that we want."
 
Nassberg, who finished fifth at the Mount Shootout last month stated "My personal goal is just being 100% present in this tournament and to work with my teammates through this weekend so that we can come away with that top-five finish." 
 
Individually, the Hornets have made their presence felt to start the season led by Sydney Reardon who has two top-10 finishes to start her sophomore campaign highlighted by her fourth-place finish in the season-opening Bud Whitman Classic.
 
Kelsey Cummings will look to add to her top-finish list after kicking of her sophomore season with a second-place finish at the Bud Whitman Classic. Alyssa Breidegam will be aiming to climb the standings after finishing sixth at the Mount Shootout.
 
Reardon was asked about how the state of the team heading into the Track Kat Klash and stated "Everyone looks good on their shots; we feel really confident heading into this weekend. We know what this tournament means so we've put the work in to prepare and I feel as though we're going to do great."
 
The Track Kat Klash is a three-day tournament starting this Friday (November 4), will run through Sunday (November 6). This event is hosted by Sam Houston State University at Emerald Bowl in Houston Texas.
