Brown claims MEAC honors for second time this season

NORFOLK, Va. --- Delaware State sophomore bowler Cierra Brown was tabbed as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week as announced by the league earlier this afternoon.
 
Brown clinched her first-ever individual win at the Hawk Classic hosted by University of Maryland Eastern Shore over the weekend. With 1,099 total pins, she averaged 219.80 pins per game across five games with her personal best of 255 coming in the third game. Eclipsing the 200-pin mark three times, Brown averaged 20.5 pins per frame and recorded a 90.6 fill percentage and made 89.4% of her spares.
 
Brown was also named the tournament MVP for her performance which also the first for her career.
 
The Hawk Classic concluded the first semester set of tournaments for Delaware State. The Hornets will return to action near the end of January for the Northeast Classic hosted by Long Island University.
