DOVER, Del. --- The Delaware State women's bowling team will compete in the Mount Shootout hosted by Mount St. Mary's (Md.) at Sunshine Lanes in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania this weekend.

After clinching a top-five team finish at the Bud Whitman Classic hosted by Chestnut Hill College last weekend, the Hornets are planning on furthering that momentum at this weekend's Mount Shootout.

Delaware State will look to the reigning Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Co-Bowler of the Week
Cierra Brown to continue with the success she had in last weekend's tournament. Brown totaled 576 pins with her best game coming in the second match she bowled where she threw a 205 giving her an average of 192.00 pins per game (20.14 pins per frame average). She knocked down 9.07 pins on her first ball while notching a strike 44.6% of the time and tallied an overall fill percentage of 91.6%.

With four top-20 finishers individually, the Hornets were led also by
Kelsey Cummings,
Sydney Reardon and
Sydney Urben.

Cummings finished second overall at the Bud Whitman Classic with Reardon two spots below here in fourth and Urben, Delaware State's newcomer finished in seventh giving the Hornets' three top-ten individual finishers.

Saralyne Nassberg will look to improve upon her 11th place finish from last weekend as the Hornets aim to clinch their first tournament win of the season.

The Mount Shootout will take place at Sunshine Lanes in Waynesburo, Pennsylvania hosted by Mount. St. Mary's (Md.). It is a two-day tournament set to take place over the course of Saturday and Sunday.
