NO. 7 HORNETS FALL TO HORNED FROGS IN SPRING OPENER

Dover, Del. (Jan. 28, 2022) --- The Delaware State equestrian team, ranked seventh in the latest national poll, opened its 2021-22 spring schedule with a 14-5 loss to Texas Christian on Thursday.
The Horned Frogs were 8-2 winners in the Western competition and posted a 6-3 victory in the jumping seat rides.
The highlight for Delaware State was a 3-2 win on the Flat.
DSU's Gabrielle Fournier topped all Flat riders with a score of 85, while Victoria Croston and Mirey Kurkculog also collected points on the Flat for the Hornets with identical scores of 75.5.
 On the Western side, Anelia Cortina earned a point for Delaware State in Horsemanship with a score of 76.
Grace Wilson posted a score of 70.5 for the Hornets' lone point in the Reining competition.
