GRACE WILSON EARNS MOP IN HORNETS’ LOSS TO UTM

Dover, Del (Jan. 28, 2202) --- Delaware State's Grace Wilson turned in a stellar performance in the Reining competition, but it was not enough in the Hornets' 10-6 loss to ECAC rival Tennessee Martin in in a battle of nationally ranked teams in Dallas, Tex., today.
No. 9 UTM posted 5-3 wins in both the Jumping Seat and Western rides. The Hornets were ranked 7th in the most recent national poll.
Wilson collected Delaware State's lone Most Outstanding Performer award, posting a score of 72 aboard "Tberg." In the Reining competition.
Amber Van Segbrook (72.5) and Aiden Stetzer (70) also earned points for the Hornets in Reining.
Delaware State and UTM tied at 2-2 in the Jumping Seat Flat competition.
Victoria Croston (74) and Olivia Brown (68) were winners for the Hornets on the Flat. Croston victorious on the Flat for the second day in a row. She posted a win against TCU on Thursday.
Brown was a two-time winner today, earning the Hornets' only point in Fences with a score of 75.
Croston posted a Fences score of 79, but fell short against UTM's Kelby Kane.
Delaware State wraps up its Texas trip against Southern Methodist on Saturday.
