Dover, Del. (Mar. 19) --- Delaware State squeaked out a Hunt Seat win, but fell on the Western rides in 13-6 loss at Tennessee Martin.
The Hornets were 5-4 winners in the Hunt Seat competition, highlighted by a 3-2 victory in Fences.
DSU won three of the five rides in Fences, with Sydney Wicklund (79), Victoria Croston (73) and Zoe Kirsch (72) coming out on top.
Kirsch was also a winner on the Flat, riding "Rose" to a team-high score of 86. Erin Gordon also collected a point on the Flat for the Hornets with a score of 81 aboard "Luigi."
The Skyhawks were 9-1 winners over the Hornets in the Western competition.
The bright spot for DSU in the Western rides was Amber Van Segbrook's selection as Most Outstanding Performer for her victory in Reining. Van Segbrook led all riders in the competition with a score of 75 on "Shiner RR" to earn the Hornets' lone Western point.
