GWYNN OAK, Md. --- The No. 14-ranked Delaware State University women's bowling team competed in the MEAC #1 event over the weekend hosted by Morgan State University.
 
On the weekend, Delaware State posted the second-highest total pinfall (8,856) as well as the second-highest average, scoring a 196.8 per game (45 games total).
 
Out of a ten-team, eight-match bracket, the Hornets tallied a 5-3 record overall finishing only behind Morgan State University and North Carolina A&T. Delaware State tied for the same overall record with University of Alabama-Birmingham and Monmouth University.
 
The No.14-ranked Hornets will be back in action this weekend when they take part in the Eastern Shore Hawk Classic hosted by University of Maryland Eastern Shore
