Cash Donations
Cash or checks are always accepted. Please make all checks payable to the Delaware State University Foundation, Inc. Gifts are acknowledged by the Foundation.
Credit Cards
The Hornet Club accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover through the DSU Foundation.

Matching Gifts Through Employers
Many companies will match your gift to the Hornet Club. Monies provided through the matching gifts program are used to support the Hornet Club. Matching gifts count toward your overall Hornet Club donation, provided this is in accordance with your company's policy. Please verify your company's policy with regard to matching gifts. If your company will match, please complete and forward your company's matching gift form to the Delaware State University Foundation with your contribution.
Gifts of Stocks/Securities
Stocks, mutual funds, bonds, and other publicly-traded securities may be transferred as gifts through the DSU Foundation. Please contact the Office of Development so that we can assist you with this process. Gifts of long-term appreciated securities may offer a substantial tax saving if you itemize.
Planned and Estate Gifts
Other kinds of giving include trusts, life insurance, personal property, stocks, bequests, gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, etc. The development office will assist in creating a giving program that supports DSU athletics while providing you with valuable tax advantages and income benefits.
Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT)
Electronic Funds Transfer is an easy way to support Delaware State University. EFT automatically transfers your pledge payment from your bank account to the DSU Foundation on the 1st or 15th of each month, which allows you the convenience of not having to write checks. Your contribution is spread over the entire year, which will have a smaller impact on your account than a single large annual gift. You will receive an annual gift acknowledgement for tax purposes.
Gifts-In-Kind
The Hornet Club accepts gifts-in-kind such as donated services or equipment in accordance with University and Foundation policies. The DSU development office must approve all gift-in-kind donations. Gifts-in-kind are rewarded at full market value for a donor's giving level.
