ESPNU TO AIR HORNETS? MEAC CHAMPIONSHIP WIN

Dover (Mar. 31, 2009) --- Delaware State's March 22 MEAC Bowling Championship victory over Florida A&M will be nationally televised this week.

ESPNU will air the Hornets' 4-0 title-clinching victory over the Rattlers in Greensboro, N.C., this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. ET.

The MEAC Championship was the first in the 10-year history of the Delaware State bowling team. The Hornets posted two wins over defending national champ Maryland-Eastern Shore (UMES) before defeating Florida A&M in the title match. UMES had won the previous three MEAC championships.

The Hornets, No. 4 in the latest National Tenpins Coach Association poll, received a bid to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in team history last week. The national championship tournament is set for April 9-11 in Canton, Michigan.

ESPNU is available in more than 22 million homes on DirecTV (channel 609), Dish Network (148) and selected cable systems.
