Millsboro, Del. (Nov. 17, 2008) --- The Delaware State bowling team improved to 17-3 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Northern Division matches after winning eight of 10 last weekend at Millsboro Lanes.
The Hornets won four of five contests in regular team play and in Baker matches.
In team play on Saturday, Delaware State posted wins over Howard (886-693), Hampton (979-761), Coppin State (911-604) and Morgan State (967-793), while falling to reigning NCAA and MEAC champ Maryland-Eastern Shore (827-1022).
Freshman Adriana Jaime rolled a career-best 252 vs. Hampton, the top weekend score for the Hornets. Kalyn Washburn had DSU's second-best score of 234 vs. Morgan State. Angela Reynolds had a team-best average of 195.4 during the competition.
In Baker matches, the Hornets upended Hampton (779-656), Howard (692-559), Coppin State (837-483) and UMES (788-704) before coming up short against Morgan State (709-784).
Delaware State opened MEAC North play by winning nine of 10 contests on Nov. 8-9 in Prince George's County, Md.
