Dover, Del. (Apr. 17, 2021) --- The Delaware State women's bowling team is the front runner after day one of the 2021 Intercollegiate Team Championships Dayton, Ohio region qualifiers. The Hornets are No. 1 among 16 teams in the region vying for a berth in the national championship tournament after the first day of competition.
Delaware State has a total pinfall of 3979 after 20 games to lead the field in the Baker competition. Duquesne is second with 3755.
The top four teams in each regional advance to the ITC national champion ship tournament May 5-8 in Wyoming, Mich.

Katie Robb has already punched her ticket to the USBC Intercollegiate Singles Championships. Robb was No. 1 among 151 competitors in the regional singles competition with a total pinfall of 1282 for a six-game average of 213.7. The top six finishers advance to the national singles championship event.
She topped the 200 mark in three of her six games, highlighted by a 279 score in game five and 246 in game one. Â Â

Saralyne Nassberg was the first spot out of also reaching the finals, finishing seventh in the regional competition, just four pins behind the final qualifier. Â Â
